It’s like, Las Vegas hot
The movers came today and I’m learning that you really can’t stuff 1600 sq. ft. of crap into an 1100 sq. ft. apartment.
On the plus side, I drove from Olympia to Vegas and what I was anticipating being a long drawn out painful (think lower back) experience was quite enjoyable. Highway 95 betwen Reno and Vegas is amazing. It’s like driving on another planet. I’m a coastal boy by birth so this desert stuff is really strange to me. It’s too early to tell if I’ll become a fan, but being able to see so much undeveloped land at one time really got my heart racing.
Then again, the Montana-like speed limits out there may have been a contributing factor. My wife says I drive like a grandma. But doing 80mph for miles on end is pretty liberating. I made sure to stop for the speedbump towns, though. When my goods got here, I found out the truck driver got a ticket for doing 27 in a 25. Huh, wha?
Still managed 38mpg in my hybrid. ;)
I so do love the desert, you lucky bastard!
So when are you coming down?
