Opera for free – permanently

Just found out that the Opera browser is now free.

This is different than the one-day 10th anniversary giveaway they had a month or so ago.

It’s a pretty cool browser, though I could never bring myself to use it for more than testing. Be sure to check it out. Won’t cost you anything but your time and if you’re reading this, you obviously don’t value that very highly. :)

    Off topic. I’d like to hear your views on the predicted coming destruction of the phone companies by VoIP services like Vonage or Scype. The Economist has an article about how this is going to play out.
