“Be Prepared,” or “Adapt Improvise and Overcome”
Connor (and the rest of us) is experiencing his first cold. As far as colds go, this one is pretty minor – he’s still really active though he is sleeping a bit more. But he is also congested so his Grandmother bought him a humidifier. Our water isn’t hard enough for it though, so it says to add salt. After rummaging through our pantry and spice cabinet, I realized we don’t have any table salt in the house. Not quite sure how that happened, but we did have something else which worked just as well.

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine.” Especially since Connor slept all night.
I’m assuming my ability to overcome adversity cancels out the fact that I’m a bad parent for having a poorly stocked pantry.
Carpe’ NaCl!
Next time add a little tequila to the humidifier and see what happens.
On a more serious note, I bet bath salts would work too, but I don’t know if the extra smelly bit would be good or bad.
Don’t forget to carpe the lime, too.
