As far as colds go, this one is pretty minor – he’s still really active though he is sleeping a bit more. But he is also congested so his Grandmother bought him a humidifier. Our water isn’t hard enough for it though, so it says to add salt. After rummaging through our pantry and spice cabinet, I realized we don’t have any table salt in the house. Not quite sure how that happened, but we did have something else which worked just as well.

Jose Cuervo Margarita Salt

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine.” Especially since Connor slept all night.

I’m assuming my ability to overcome adversity cancels out the fact that I’m a bad parent for having a poorly stocked pantry.

Between Jess and J-Walk, I experienced some of my lowest levels of productivity ever.

Jess went MIA for about a year and a few months ago, I finally, sadly, removed his feed from my reader.

Today, I happened to stumble upon a bug report I filed in August ‘05 that was related to a problem I noticed with his feed. On a whim, I clicked on his URL and what to my wondering eyes did appear? An updated blog!

Welcome back, Jess – The one upside of missing your return is that I can look forward to catching up on the last three months of blogging goodness.

My favorite conspiracy theory is the one that says the world is being run by a handful of ultra-rich capitalists, and that our elected governments are mere puppets. I sure hope it’s true. Otherwise my survival depends on hordes of clueless goobers electing competent leaders. That’s about as likely as a dog pissing the Mona Lisa into a snow bank.
